Background
“Grace Klein Community (GKC) is a non-profit in Birmingham, Alabama, that works to rescue surplus food through its #FeedBHM initiative. GKC diverts fresh food from local grocers and restaurants daily to run drive-thru food distributions for local families.
“They also operate the Give and Take Room, a community closet where individuals can freely donate or take clothing and household items.
“Mission teams working with GKC engage in hands-on, relational service—ranging from food rescue logistics to sorting clothing donations—to fight local food insecurity and promote community service and relief.”

Each team has a Mission Team Handbook, based on the general Volunteer Standards & Code of Conduct that RoR maintains, and also adapted slightly to meet the needs of each trip and its individual circumstances.
Handbooks are usually reviewed and tailored to each trip by your Mission Team Leadership.
