There are four main ways in which volunteers can assist with RoR Missions

In order to remain accountable to each other, to family and friends, to the people we serve, and to God, all of our board and team members will abide by standards during our time together on our trips and in our interactions with each other and the public that best exemplify His character. Our Mission Teams will also adhere to the rules, policies, standards, agreements, and expectations held by any entities or organizations we may be serving under. And ultimately, each one of us will assume responsibility for our actions and behavior, both good and bad.

RoR Mission Teams exist to spread the love of Christ in their actions, inactions, words, silence, and demeanor. We aim to achieve this in a manner that conveys a genuine image of Christ Himself and of His Spirit working through us. Therefore, we affirm our personal belief and acceptance of Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, and commit to abide by the following standards during our time both in the field and in private.

Pride In The Name Of God

We believe that, as born-again Christians, we have been granted the Name of the Father by adoption through His Son. Therefore, in our words and actions, we take pride in His Name and are not ashamed to identify ourselves or be identified by others as His children.

Exemplification Of The Character Of God

Having been granted adoption to His Name, we believe that God works in our lives through His Holy Spirit. Therefore, having His Spirit in us, we strive to allow His character and His love to drive our actions and personalities. As He has commanded us, we speak life, love, gratitude, grace, mercy, justice, and humility over all with whom we come in contact.

Integrity To The Person Of God

Foundational to displaying His Character to others, we believe that as Children of God, we love Him with everything He has given us. Therefore, we choose to display His Character in private as well as in public, and act with righteousness and integrity toward God, our Father, Savior, Redeemer, and Friend, and toward ourselves, the work of His hands, the crown of His creation, and the Temple in which we invite Him to dwell and through which we enable Him to work His purpose.

Devotion To The Knowledge Of God

As Children of God and bearers of His Name, we are eager to grow closer to Him and to learn more about Him. We also take great joy in sharing Him with others. We spend time ourselves in His Word, individually, as a Team, and together with anyone He chooses to unite us with during our trip, learning, sharing, and growing closer to him and to one another through a deeper understanding of Him through Scripture.

Deference To The Holiness And Sovereignty Of God

As the work of His hands and the instruments of His plan, we choose to glorify Him in joy and gratitude for the things He has done for us and through us, and chiefly for His gift of salvation. Therefore, in all that we do, we assume an attitude of humility, taking pride only in the work that He does through us, in constant gratitude that He deems us worthy to be the vessels of His purpose.
