RoR Support Breakdown
How Team Funding Works
For each trip, volunteers are given an Individual Funding Goal.
For this number, we take a dollar amount for the cost of the trip and distribute it equally among all volunteers.
Volunteers can raise this by fundraising throughout their network, or pay upfront.
During this time, the RoR Mission Board will usually orchestrate other fundraising efforts to raise money for the trip.
Setting the Goal
Individual Funding Goals will be established as each trip is planned. This will usually be released in the early stages of planning as soon as the first budget for that trip is drafted.
Along with the planning of the trip, and incorporated into the budget, the number of volunteers that the trip is open to is taken into account.
The Individual Funding Goal will usually be within a few dollars of the exact cost of the trip, divided equally among the number of volunteers it is open to.
Paying The Goal
Each volunteer will be able to receive donations designated towards them specifically.
Donors can find the donation link on the website, and volunteers can fund themselves the same way.
Volunteers can reach out to their Team Lead or the Field Ahead Coordinator to check on their fundraising progress, or for any questions about fundraising.
Goal Changes
As the RoR Mission Board and Mission Team collectively raise funds for the trip, these funds are applied toward that season’s trip under the General Fund.
As the General Fund builds up, the Individual Funding Goal goes down.
Example: a $1,200 trip with 10 volunteers has a $120 IFG.
If $500 is raised by the organization or team as a whole, only $700 is still needed, and the IFG goes down to $70.
Volunteers are encouraged to fundraise among family, friends, and personal networks.
As individual volunteers raise money, this money is applied toward their personal IFG.
If more than the IFG is donated by or for a specific volunteer, or of the IFG falls below what the volunteer has already raised or paid, overage money is credited toward the General Fund, and helps lower the IFG of the team.
Team Members will be encouraged to check their Individual Funding Goal regularly through their Managed Missions.
Volunteers should submit final payments to meet their goals around a week before their trip’s departure.
RoR will send an email announcement, and the Individual Funding Goal will not change after this date.
Where your Money Goes
When you support Roar Of Relief through your monetary support, that dollar amount is applied to the individual funding goal of the person you allocate it to.
All of those funds are then pooled into the RoR Mission Fund, and prioritized in the following order to ensure that your support is accepted and allocated responsibly.
Mission Team Lodging
It is important to ensure that mission teams traveling overnight have lodging. While lodging for teams is sometimes provided, your support ensures that this will always be a top priority.
Mission Team Transportation
Clearly, Mission Teams must arrive at their mission sites. RoR sees transportation as a utility, not a luxury, and prioritizes it accordingly.
Mission Team Supplies
As with lodging, some trips may have food provided as a volunteer benefit. However, your support will provide for this very important aspect of Mission Fund allocation.
Mission Trip Incidentals
Not everything goes as planned. This means that your support can help cover the unexpected costs associated with unplanned needs and incidentals.
Mission Trip Gifting
As part of the RoR ministry and mission, your support can be used to provide for the needs and service of those encountered along the way.
Returning Day Activities
One of the goals for each mission trip is to end the trip in a rewarding and refreshing way. On Returning Day, some additional mission trip funds are used for a sit-down lunch or dinner, as well as a recreational activity for the team.
Mission Awareness & Support
After ensuring that each trip is well provided for, RoR prioritizes potential team members and donors, as well as the community, being able to see what we do , and how they can support and pray for us.
Mission Team Leadership
